:│ There are several utilities to replace the poorly featured │:
TRACERT.EXE traceroute tool included with Windows, but Visual Route is
well ahead of the competition. It's a Java-based, multi-threaded tool
that processes IP hops in parallel instead of consecutively, producing
much faster results.
Not only is the traceroute performed quickly, but it provides
intelligent analysis, pointing out where problems, such as packet loss,
are beginning to occur, and offering detailed reports about problematic
servers.
The depth of information provided by this utility makes it easy to
take a trace report and immediately send it on to that router or
server's .administrator. It's the sort of tool needed to provide
invaluable feedback .to those who build and maintain Internet
infrastructure.
